Friday, January 26, 2018 Spring Plantings - Inside Starts

Yesterday, I planted three types of peppers. Six of each: Peppadew, Santaka and assorted jalapeno.

Today, I planted kale, pansy, viola, bell pepper, leeks and artichoke.

I also planted some of the Dawn Redwood that has been in the refrigerator since November 2, 2017 to cold stratify the seeds to break the embryo dormancy. The biggest challenge with the redwood was to identify the seeds. While the instructions I am following said to put one seed in the middle of a 4" pot, I ended putting a small amount of the mixture in the middle of the pot.
